- 1 avocado
- 2 small pears
- 1 large handful spinach
Healthy food is super hard to make on a regular basis and if like us you find yourself slipping back into eating crappy food we have something for you today that will change all that. This little smoothie recipe is unusual, delicious but most importantly quick to make and perfect for either breakfast or lunch. Give it a go and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The ingredients couldn't really be easier to find and you can buy them in advance for the week because the riper the avocado is the better
Start by peeling the skin from the avocado. If it is perfectly ripe you'll be able to do it with your hands and if not you'll need the help of a knife.
Pull it off in one smooth motion. You'll want to be making this straight away as the flesh starts to go black otherwise
use a knife in a circular motion to cut the avocado in two.
You'll notice a large stone. Pull it out using your hands and roughly chop up the avocado.
Peel and chop up the pear. Remove and seeds. and also stuff loads of spinach into the blender. This helps with the color and getting you even more nutritional value in there
Lash eveything together in the blender
Pour in a decent amount of milk. This is what thins it out so add it as you go.
After blending it for 30-60 seconds it should be looking super smooth and pour out of the jug easily.
This is literally a meal in a glass and it will have you jumping for joy with energy as the morning or day wares on.
So as you can see it isn't exactly rocket science to get this going. The avocado gives it such a nice creamy texture that it nearly feels as if this should be bad for you but it isn't, it is amazing. Give it a go and see what you think. Awesome little recipe.
