Cool New App Tells Clubbers If There's A Queue For Berghain

Anyone familiar with Berlin, and fond of long nights dancing in darkened clubs will have heard of Berghain.

The famed club is located in a former power plant (rented from the energy company Vattenfall) in Friedrichshain. The building is enormous; clubbers dance on an 18-meter high dance floor with space for 1500 guests. As well as the massive main room, there's also a smaller upstairs space called 'Panorama Bar', where the walls are emblazoned with huge Wolfgang Tillmans prints and tall windows with stunning views of East Berlin, and international DJs play sunrise sets to glazy-eyed ravers.

The beauty of Berghain though, is their extremely strict door policy. People end up queuing for ages, only to be refused at the door, and you'd have to be extremely lucky to get in on our first attempt. Even top DJs who have played there before struggle to get their friends in at times.

However, rumour has it that the smaller the queue the more likely you are of getting in.... That's why when we heard about a new app called 'Is There A Line At Berghain?' we got super excited. The app is 100% crowd-sourced, so people in the queue can say whether there's a big wait or not and you can decide whether it's worth your while or not. Quick, get downloading the app and help your fellow clubbers out this weekend!
